Self-hosted deployments run the Community Edition or use a Business or Enterprise license. The Community Edition is licensed under MIT. It is free to self-host for any purpose, including production and commercial use. A Business or Enterprise license unlocks additional self-hosted features and support. The code behind these features ships in the open-source repository under the Enterprise License and may only be used in production with a valid license. Commercial terms are governed by our SAAP License Agreement.

When you need a license

You need a Business or Enterprise license if:
  • you want to remove Usertour branding
  • you need SSO, audit log, or two-factor authentication
  • you want deployment and upgrade support with a response-time SLA
Running the Community Edition in production, whether for internal tools or customer-facing products, does not require a license. You can contact us to discuss licensing.
